I understand limited drops, it’s an easy way to increase the hype and the whole sense of exclusivity.
The problem with them, however, is that they are a balancing act. A product launch should be a celebration, but when most people don’t get said product, that excitement can easily - and rapidly - become frustration.
And these are days when everything is amplified by social media. Two people disappointed versus one who can get the product can be the start of a pile on.
It was not my intention to become an Investor, but I did follow the process and I do remember the frustration that started with a lot of people complaining about a delay in the emails, I believe.
I will keep paying attention and I am still as interested as before. However, a lot of people are not so willing to understand the reasons for a limited drop. I can tell you one thing:
After the official presentation, after the embargo on the reviews, Nothing will be talked about today. Again and a lot. And, since it’s a Saturday, it will dominate the conversation.
