Any information if circle to search is coming to nothing phones? Like it is pretty cool feature which only samsung and pixel only have and I’d love to see it on my np 2a because it is so useful like just for text from image this feature is already great but also for google photo search that is also useful sometimes, you could argue that you can take screenshot and go from there but circle to search is so much quicker.

    AgentY Those features are closed feature so it’s complicated to implement that without the ressources.

    But with the update that integrate chatGPT into Nothing OS, you can just make a screenshot and use the chatGPT API as you pointed. I don’t know if they will put more ressources into an backed in AI…

        Remi F Why use chatgpt when you can directly image search the screen shot on google . Circle to search doesn’t require to screenshot and then separately select the item you wanna search for thats why its so convenient.

            Remi F I guess it is cool but once again, it takes another step to make a screenshot itself and after that delete it, wich is frustrating a circle to search just removes this step and that’s why it is so cool

                AgentY bro look, it’s a samsung/pixel only AI feature developed by google and samsung collab… they won’t just release it that easy, and it ain’t that easy to recreate, otherwise they wouldn’t have collaborated. You feel me?

                    munim_falcon well i think they kind of already released them to public, google search by photo is already out there for everyone and you can put your screenshot in there any you will receive the same exact result so the only thing you actually have to implement is to take the information directly from the screen not from the screenshot

                        AgentY guys don’t worry if you set bard to your phone assistant and trigger it you can click on the paper clip icon and search your screen👍

                          Circle to search is just another marketing gag. as you can see in the tv commercial it uses the already built in google feature in android.

                          Sam built only a shortcut to this

                          If you configure the assistant gesture from System>Gestures>Press and hold power button, then when you are looking at something on the screen you want to search, just hold the power button and then press “Search screen”. You can also translate or read aloud contents on the screen.

                          But it doesn’t require you to make a screenshot or delete e photo later.

                            I think that the “circle to search” feature is a bit overrated and mostly just marketing.

                            I have integrated the google assistant into the “press and hold power button” feature and after using it I choose “seach on screen”.

                            For me it brings the same results with maybe one more second of effort. This feature can even recognise text and symbols so that you can copy them. Give it a try :- ) For me there is no need so implement circle to search.

                              They’ll bring it before this year, saw it on Google event. Let’s see

                              Til (21) For me, the “search on screen” or “search screen” not showing up? Google assistant shows up but the options are not there to search screen.
