Recently I have posted this same topic in Reddit and everyone have given many important points that is expected from nothing OS 3.0. I hope Nothing OS team will take a look at this thread. Also i will try to put the important comments in this post for your reference.

Question:

As the title suggests, what are your expectations for Nothing OS 3.0? what are the features that you wish to have and don’t? What are the bug fixes that are to be expected? What new applications you wish to have with nothing OS theme? Let’s make this a mega post till Carl Pei sees it.

  1. I simply want dot matrix back and I would be happy. And camera improvements would be nice. That would be nice. I just want the dots to be smaller in size. It will look aesthetic.

I want more granular volume levels(100 steps) on phone 2. -AOD brightness should dim after 5 seconds to preserve display age. -Haptic vibration improvement across OS and it should not make audible sound like on phone 2 now. -Adaptive brightness does not learn from user’s interaction with brightness slider. It needs improvement. -RAM management is worse and it does not keep apps at same state even with 12 Gb ram

    The camera department is excellent and I can’t complain about it.

    “PLEASE TAKE THE ADVANCE OF VERY NICE FORM FACTOR OF THE DEVICE AND DESIGN WIDGETS AND APP SIZES ACCORDING TO IT TO MAKE EVERYTHING LOOK CLEAN AND FITS PERFECTLY IN WITH THE PHONE”

    better app opening and closing animations that fits well with wallpaper and app movement when exiting the app.

    “STOCK NOTHING BASIC APPS LIKE CALLER MESSAGES etc”

I hope this will contribute to the Nothing OS 3.0. And to the people who are waiting for the updates, please be patient this will take more time. Please give time to the developers, so that it will make Nothing OS loved by everyone.

    I’ve a humble request the developers to change the OS 3.0 because the Signature of NOTHING is the Dotted font. And there should be the customisation of the fonts and every other things like fingerprint animations. Just add the customisation option and about the Gaming Mode there should be an option to add apps like WhatsApp and Media player to listen and multitask while playing. The old animation and Vintage fonts of Nothing is the best, Audience finds that as interesting and wanna buy the Nothing Phones, just add the new items but don’t remove the old vintage items from the devices !

    And at last I’ve posted this by seeing the beta testing of Android 15 and Nothing OS 3.0 which were uploaded on YouTube and the Social Media.

      KPraveenKrishnakumar as usual, Google Pixel phones will be the first to get Android 15 and that’s officially scheduled for October 15th. From that date onwards we can expect other OEMs like Nothing to release their updates. I guess November will be when we can expect Nothing OS 3.0 with Android 15.

      Don’t be so anxious about it. It’s better to get the update later but have it throughly tested and bugfree. No Android phone on the market has received the official and final version of Android 15 yet.

          vovan-v yeah, that’s obvious. There will always be bugs which need to be addressed. Rushing software releases won’t help though. If devs and testers have more time to work on it, less bugs will be left to fix. There was a time when all I wanted was new updates. I learned to be more patient and understanding because software development is not easy like many users think it is. I’m not talking about you, personally. It’s just annoying to see some people demanding new apps, updates and features without being respectful or grateful for all the work that’s been done so far.

            Excited for Nothing OS 3.0 🤩, hoping it comes with the requested user fixes!

              I am pretty sure that NOS 3.0 will arrive at the very end of the year. It was the same with Android 14 and the closed beta with NP2a is in not even half way through. Don’t be impatient and be excited for new announcements🙂)
