Anonymous297 dude, I don’t really know how pissed off you look like of a comment, they didn’t say the specific day of the release XD

Merged 1 post from NOS 3.0 FOR Phone (2a).

You haven’t fixed the camera of NP1 from OS 2.5 and you’re talking of launching 3.0. What could possibly be funnier?

    Anonymous297 everyone except me! 😉

Tbh I don’t like iOS at all. I prefer the classic Android (AOSP style) looks and feel. It’s much tidier than iOS and allows for more customisation. I know many people that “dream” about having an Android that looks like an iPhone. I prefer the opposite. Android looking like Android 🤭

mafcarvalho IKR, but idk why people so obsessed out android looking like IOS. android is way much better in most aspects tbh. specially the UI and features and main point price.

Launch new v3 with new phone, but make it rich and improved and for all models later. Its best model, unless early launch is buggy, then its better to ship with older more stable release.

New OS updates drop new features. Some features may be compatible with current hardware but new features and features that are marked experimental are more focused on upcoming hardware changes with new devices. Every Android update brings more great features and end user gets to choose many of these options. But the challenge adds up when current devices do not support any new widget that ships with OS 3.0 + which may build limited functionality or may misbehave and later require additional patches. So, I think Update 3.0 will have significant improvements and more new features, to bring out a better experience for all phone series but I just hope they don’t add any such high-end widgets that later face any compatibility issues with current of last gen devices. The majority is looking at true camera quality experience with all Nothing phones. Especially with the low light and night shots. I am expecting the new OS 3.0 must bring up such a software tweak to camera settings that should allow users to opt for true shot as the hardware captures and not completely rely on software enhancements.

zygerboy To avoid such clutter, main OS revision should be focused on working on all NothingOS devices, while e.g. NP 3 specific optimizations, options, widgets should be delivered as separate update just to that phone users.

Model of making OS usable (as model of work), not model of phone.

VojinVidanovic It make sense. But did Nothing ever released a separate update just to tweak widgets? I am not aware of any so I’m asking with curiosity. I am not sure about Nothing Phone 3 as I just got my hands on phone 2a special edition and I can’t stop admiring my new device. I think Nothing OS is same for every phone except for glyph. Because if each device has different OS functionality, that would drain whole lot of time for the dev team to roll out multiple batches for so many devices at a single time.

Yes current model is everyone gets the same, except the light (glyph) options that differs 2 from other models. But seems (3) will be even more radical, so depends if they introduce something that hardware wise cannot be supported on (1) (2) (2a) (2a plus)
