VivekBhagat I’m using the official nothing charger tho but not able to charge with in one hour do you know wby by any chance?

Im using Xiaomi 33W charger, tops up (100%) the phone 2 within 70 minutes. Temperature of the phone is around 33° to 35° Celsius.

So it’s okay for me. So as per Nothing claim 45W charger might charge the phone within 55 minutes.

    Hi, Good day.

I am also experiencing the same thing. But I am just wondering why should the Battery Health and Adaptive Battery be disabled if trying to fast charge. Fast charging works for me once I turn the two settings off. If those settings are turned on, it shows charging rapidly but the charging is very slow. Is it a bug? Should I always turn those config off?

    Much appreciated.

    Thanks,

Same issue here 🙁, when I checked the live wattage consumption it is not crossing 12W, even with other PD chargers as well. Nothing has to fix this ASAP using a S/W update.

Mine also not working I tried diffrent chargers and powerbanks which supports pd still it is showing as charging only.

VivekBhagat Not true! I’m using Motorola’s TurboPower (68 W PD) and it works well, last charge was from 8% to 100% in 1:01 h… For proper PD or QC charging you need quality charger and of course cable with e-marker…

VivekBhagat No, as I said, quality PD charger (of course with correct voltage vs current) with quality cable (with e-marker) is what you need. I have also 120W charger from Xiaomi and gues what, it’s also functioning. So, stop confusing others with your assumptions and get learned how PD/QC is functioning and what is PPS for.

Ghouless this charger is PPS/PDO enabled bcoz i’ve personally tried 3 PD (only) charger all were caped at 14w max

VivekBhagat you are wrong and data sheet of this charger says the same. Btw, if charger is PPS enabled (so it’s capable of continuous voltage/current change instead of regular negotiating), on specs you will find also variable voltage (eg. 3.3V-21V). As you can see, this charger is classic PD 3.0 charger, with negotiation of 5V/9V/11V/15V/20V. Seems, that you are not fully involved in this topic and just trying to argue on basis of your limited knowledge and experience, so I’m ending this discussion with hint : get a quality chargers and cables.

            a month later

I recently received my new nothing phone 2, how ever I quickly noticed some weird behaviour. I have 2 identical 25 watt charger bricks from Samsung and 2 separate usb c wires. 1 of the 25w bricks was causing the phone to rapidly start and stop charging. I quickly ruled this out to be a bad brick so I took this as a opportunity to finally try a 65w brick (also from Samsung) how ever this new brick caused the same to happen, how ever this time less rapid. Still stop and start charging. I have now tested all the bricks with wire combinations on my phone and other phonew. The problem is still only on my phone. Im afraid I will have to send my phone back although I really don’t want to.

Merged 1 post from New Phone 2 not charging correctly.
