MarcinG Thatâs good. Better different user have different user right? According to me I use the maximum out of the phone or any devices I have. So I think there are many other users who have the same user perspective. So it might not be easy for such users right?
BassimBinYoosaf you right, but in condition of our world today the phone gets old after â years, and every year a new android system is released that needs to be adapted to a processor that is aging, so 5 years is too much.
vovan-v If the processor can technically support 5 years itâs actually good to be provided with right. As I mentioned before nothing phone 2 processor which is snapdragon 8+ gen 1 can provide a smooth experience of 4 year of software and 5 years of security update.If it is 5 year software and 5 year security it can be used as a normal use. When device gets old technically no one will expect a very fast phone as you yourself mentioned.So whatâs the deal here?

So, because the company is 3 years old, so people should buy say 2 year old specs for the price when people can take a good mid range phone? The Glyph is interesting for a while, but its not Performance. people who went for Nothing phone were earlier buying, or still using Oneplus. CEO of Nothing was CEO of oneplus before, thus those who believed that the Carl Pei wanted to continue with what he set out to achieve at O+ opted for Nothing phone & supported.
The OS is minimalist, The camera software apparently can be better.
people moved away from likes of Mi, Samsung & other companies because then O+ promised to be Flagship killer, Excellent top specs found in premier Flagship phones at Midrange prices. Unfortunately, Nothing, that has taken the mantle does not offer that, so as customer. there is NOTHING that really keep me interested in NOTHING. There is no new phone that competes with the Flagship phones or even the top midrange phones. The software updates are far behind the other companies, Google & Samsung offer 7 years of OS updates, O+ offers 4?
Also I can understand if NOTHING is putting say 10 models in the market and hence providing updates for each phone becomes say 30 phones etc, but since past 2 years there are only3 models, so why should providing android updates for 5 or even 7 years be that difficult.
After say 5 years, lets say that its 2028, we dont expect NOTHING 2 to compete directly with then flagship phones, but can we not expect a good phone running smoothly, without hick ups? With the cst of the phones rising. we might see people changing phones every few years. it might be at least 4 years.
Samsung is now promising 7 years for its flagship phones
smestarz You already hate the company. Nothing i say will be able to change your mind. Its been about a year since i bought my np2. It has been clean, the animations are so smooth and i get good battery backup as well. Because of the launching of 3 different phones, their uldates have been a bit slow but still nothing is the only smartphone brand which rolls out updated this quickly.
And why are you comparing nothing with brand ls like samsung who have been on market like atleast a few decades. Give them time to improve bro. You want everything but dont want to wait.

smestarz I think that do pe âthe flagship killerâ is not a point for nothing.
And number of OS updates in not the most importent thing, the most importent thing is clean OS great battery life with midrange energy saving processors good cameras and enjoyeble smartphone.
Who want a lot of OS updates can buy pixel or samsung and stuck with same phone for a years if the phone still be alive.
If NOTHING can improve the NP2 CAMERA quality⌠rest can be adjusted

Iâm proud owner of Nothing phone 2 12gb 512gb black varient and 2 cmf gan charger black.
I have been keenly following Carl from oneplus from beginning of his oneplus term, and recommended many users to buy oneplus 3 when it was launched in India, and now i suggested nothing phone 1 to 4 friends and nothing phone 2 for 5 friends, everyone feels happy with their purchase,
But recently seen many early buyers are disappointed with the pricing in recent time especially this December sale offer in flipkart was a great deal for many nothing phone 2 new users but it was huge disappointment for many who supported you in early stages as this was the main hot topic of discussion in nothing phone 2 group in telegram, many are saying they wonât purchase nothing phone 3 and future products this may affect the future sales
Some solutions I can offer from others
1, this solution I read in the group, offering cmf buds for early buyers for free, it can help you to get early customers loyalty
2 itâs my own solution, how oneplus 9 series was launched with 2 major os cycle and 3 years security update and later they increased to 4 major os cycle and 5 years security update like this I want nothing phone 2 to increase their phone os update policy cycle, major os update to 4 cycle and security updates to 5 years it can be great future for all nothing phone 2 customers
To make it interesting and make more people to be your loyal customers and help in repeat recurring purchase of nothing products in future, increase 1 year more for nothing phone 1 users also 3 major os Cycle update and 4 security update, it will make them also more happy.
Hope you consider this change in the name of futuristic vision of nothing company for the betterment of nothing community.

what a solution bro , i feel the same for company i bought PHONE (2) on first 5 minutes of launch and now price is slashed too much , and i donât think they mind giving free buds as SALES was low so they donât need to spend much

kaushal_desai they will remove it using name of ceo, unless many see this and like this thread there is a chance of getting more update. First they told me tagging is against community guidelines fine but they remove post for stating for good things.
Even I got strike warning for this post from adbo maybe deleted, who knows, it annoys me though I donât stop posting my views.
I changed not tagging any members so I donât know what they have issue now
They all want to hear only fake promise of nothing doing great, nothing is fantastic. Not genuine feedback from customers.
Not thinking about whether they are loyal to them or not.
If it goes like this then I see downfall for them.
Sad to see from nothing team.

From a sustainability perspective and reducing waste, canât Nothing company look for a prolonged software updates including security updates, similar on the lines of Samsung. Or alternatively, canât they have a fee based software/ security update ( like we have an extended warranty for many products for a fee, again I believe it will be industry first) . Changing phones just because there are no support available from the company is such a shame. Canât be anything done on this front to reduce the e waste

Jerin Jose not only fo flagship line, for mid rangers too it should be 5 years of os updates like in samsung/motorolla/pixel line.

The market is a hard place to be at these competitive times full of different phone models for Nothing Phones to stand out & make more demands on the market I would urge Nothing team to consider upgrades of the software updates to five (5) years of updates just like how Google Pixel devices have done to their old devices currently.
Trust me if they implement this bold move to their devices I am certain they will conquer the market so easily because most of the users love updated devices & I am sure Nothing devices can handle major software updates without any problems.
