I’d love to see that concept revisited in the future. With the upcoming European battery regulations, it feels more relevant than ever.
The only thing that bothers me is that CMF has its own identity and Nothing has another. Reskinning a CMF device by making it white and transparent and adding a couple of Glyph lights isn’t what I want from the Nothing portfolio, because it undermines the original work and trivializes it, exactly like the N3 Lite does.
That said, I understand that a company doesn’t just throw away years of R&D because a product line (CMF) gets cancelled. Instead, it makes sense to repurpose that work into something that supports the business financially.
