Fair question, and I’ll answer it seriously since you asked seriously. 👍
You’re right that “deserve” is the wrong word — Nothing met the promised terms, and I’m not disputing that. So let me drop that framing and give you the actual argument.
It’s not “the hardware can handle it” on its own. It’s the combination of three things: (1) I paid a flagship price, (2) the hardware is fully capable of another version, and (3) a big part of the promised support window was lost to instability rather than a working experience.
And I mean real, daily-usability issues. The one that genuinely stopped me from using the phone properly: the “Temporary system files” storage bug. It sat around 30 GB, then climbed past 42 GB. I tried everything — disabling RAM Booster (which freed about 8 GB), restarting, and a whole list of other steps; at best it dropped to ~23 GB, then crept right back up. It never clears without a factory reset. To cope, I ended up paying $9/month for Google One (2 TB) just to offload all my photos and videos to Google Photos and my files to Drive — paying monthly cloud fees to work around a defect on a flagship I already paid full price for. Add to that Bluetooth audio breaking with my hearing aids for over two months, an audio bug still open with R&D, and a camera app that sometimes lags and freezes when I’m just trying to take a shot.
And honestly, I have other issues too — but if I listed them all, I’d never finish. 😅
So this isn’t entitlement. “3 years of support” on paper wasn’t 3 years of a working flagship — there’s a real gap between what I paid for and what I got. One more version wouldn’t erase that, but it would narrow it. You may still disagree, and that’s fair. 🙂
