AmrikRoy same I too faced the same kind of issue with nothing phone 2, but got it replaced after 15 to 20 days. But even the phone I got for replacement had minor display fit issues but better than the first one. So I think it’s overall a quality control issue that every nothing phone 2 have that get noticed by someone like us and left unnoticed by most ones.

nikhiljradhesh yes I feel the same towards Flipkart. They have a return or replacement option in the app which is of no use as they would ask us to contact the brand’s service centre. And the open box delivery is a complete scam that they use to pay us more for secured packaging and open box delivery. These delivery persons are in a hurry to move that they just check as if the product is present and doesn’t let us check for any damages and ask for OTP. Flipkart is worst and the even worse is that they charge us extra for these.

Gun_Put yes bro. I got the replacement, but even the product I got for replacement had some minor display groves and display fit issues but better than the old one. Even if you replace its a doubt whether you will get a better phone or not.

AmrikRoy it’s from Madurai, Tamil Nadu bro. Even it’s not a brand exclusive service centre. It’s just a 3rd party nothing authorised service centre. It’s the only service centre for most brands we buy from Flipkart (pixel, nothing, realme,iPhone ect). Try making a warranty or replacement claim from nothing Website once. But it takes time for pickup and check if accepted. If you are reaching out to a authorised service centre try reaching out to a brand exclusive service centre. Please don’t leave this issue. It’s a major quality control or manufacturing issue that nothing has to consider and give replacement or atleast a service for all the defective phones. Never expected this from a nothing and a smartphone that sells for almost 50k.

Tbh I’m glad others are experiencing this issue of side ripple effects, sadly.

We can’t allow this to continue, honestly, we can’t even fit a glass screen protector as it will not sit flat.

How the hell is that by design Carl Pei.

I don’t know any handset manufacturer since day one of smartphones that would even say ripples of the screen are by design, that’s BS.

The reply you got is imho just them acknowledging there’s a manufacturing issue but they don’t want to take responsibility because it’s widespread & would cost a fortune to resolve.

We need to start a petition or social media influencer intervention to get this damn brand to step up instead of side stepping.

Another shoddy immoral brand just forgetting about customer service & zero humility to an issue.

No wonder there’s no fix for the touchscreen issues still, it’s possibly not going to be fixed.

Gun_Put It’s a piss take tbh mate, they know there’s an issue but refuse to take responsibility & I’m furious with this damn company tbh.

AmrikRoy You can easily replace it during replacement cycle in flipkart. Let me tell the procedure. Just let them know that it has some hardware issue and phone get rebooted itself just after connecting wifi and bluetooth and sometimes boot into bootloop that is request will be taken and engineer will visit to check. And let him know that its is happening 5-10 times daily but occasionally and show them display as well that it has hardware issue with display as well. He will approve your return request. You should do that as nobody from nothing team, flipkart team and service centre helping you.

@Gun_Put @NHN This is a message concerning the after-sale services provided by the brand Nothing. I kindly ask anyone viewing this thread to share the link I’ve provided along with video evidence across all social media platforms to ensure maximum exposure. This issue is not just personal to me; it’s been experienced by numerous users. I don’t harbor any personal grudge against the brand, but it’s crucial to highlight the problem they’ve denied, labeling it as a new glass design.

Moreover, their application of their branded tempered glass resulting in similar bubble issues on the corners raises questions. If this is a new design, the brand should manufacture specialized tempered glass to address these concerns. As a burgeoning brand, it’s their responsibility to prioritize and resolve customer issues, especially when individuals invest significantly in their premium segment phone priced at 45k. Brushing off user concerns by attributing them to a new design is unacceptable.

I implore everyone to share this message to inform potential Nothing product buyers about the lack of support from the brand. Prospective customers need to be aware that they might encounter issues and receive inadequate support. This issue affects many users, and it’s vital for the brand to acknowledge and provide a proper resolution.

It’s not a new design screen much like there support & customer service isn’t new either, it’s copied from Pei’s old company, it’s a disgrace tbh.

        Gun_Put

Only make me even more believe that they are about to close the company.

No support nobody want to buy.

lexlexus it’s funny you say that as I’ve had that feeling too, the backlash would be immense so it wouldn’t be good for him at all.

lexlexus Interestingly I just read there’s a permanent discount on the np2 now, which is strange given the age of the handset, little soon for price lowering for their flagship phone.

I just also saw the 512gb has now been lowered by £100, that’s a big drop tbh & now quite worrying.

NHN Even after spending a considerable amount on premium screen protector tempered glass, none of them fit perfectly. Initially, I assumed the installation hadn’t been done properly. However, I later discovered manufacturing defects in the screen itself, which caused fitting issues. That’s why I visited a local store and asked them to try fitting a new tempered glass properly. Even after trying two glasses in front of me, there was still a minor display bump, indicating that the screen wasn’t perfectly flat. Now, I’m using no glass at all, just the normal screen with a thin layer of plastic protection.

NHN In India too the flagship NP2 is selling at a 20% discount over the Maximum retail price, just ¾ months after launch.

            Not a good sign.

In such a scenario, the company should be focusing on fixing the numerous bugs & limitations that so many owners have been reporting, but not one has been fixed!

            One wonders what’s going on……
