Hi everyone!
I’ve developed an app that takes Nothing OS Glyph Notifications further, giving you more control over how they behave!
What does it do?
Glyph Notifications is inspired by Essential Notifications, which lights up a Glyph when you receive a notification while your phone is locked.
But with one key difference:
You can choose which Glyph to light up for each app.
Plus, you can assign multiple Glyphs to the same app to create a custom flash pattern!
Here’s how I use the app right now:
Set only the top-left Glyph for Messages.
Use a custom Glyph pattern for Signal.
Message Notification:
Signal Notification:
Who can join the Beta?
The app is compatible with all Nothing Phones:
Phone (1), Phone (2), Phone (2a), Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro
Developed & tested on a Nothing Phone (2)

Wait for your invite by email to install the Beta via Google Play.
Test the app & share your feedback!
Let me know if you have any questions! Can’t wait to hear your feedback.
Hi everyone! We’re so glad to see such enthusiasm for the project this year. A couple of top tips on your submission:
- Do read the brief very thoroughly before submitting your design. There are a lot of useful tips and bits of information there!
- Don’t rush your submission. You have just under one month before the deadline, which leaves plenty of time for research, ideation and execution.
- Do include references (which could take the form of a moodboard, for example) in your submission of things that have inspired your submission. Don’t just submit your final idea! We’re looking for a full picture of not only your idea, but how you arrived at the idea.
- Do include a short bio about yourself, so we can get to know you.
Keep your questions coming and good luck!

Romain Phone (2a) Plus existence leaked as early as early April 2024, before you original concept was submitted, as you can imagine this is not something that is made in a few weeks and require a lot of preparations before release, in the end, it’s a 2a with a metallic/grey finish and certainly not a copy of your concept
Seems exciting.
Now this is exciting - looking forward to seeing entries + the final product. This community is going to do BIG things!
I’ve already submitted my proposal! It was something I had in mind, and I hope you like it!
Can I also share it here, or is it better to wait until the voting starts? Thanks!
Woah.. excited to try the app!

Ali Fakhruddin My man it’s just about enjoying the process and creating what you’d love to own. Rest assured if you like it, chances are many other people will like it too!
Good luck and happy creating!
I’m thrilled to be here!
I’m an engineer, not a designer. Whenever I tried to design, functionality was at the forefront of design. Since I wasn’t interested in popular things, I couldn’t make myself heard. This made me a little hesitant to show my designs.
But now I’m here, surrounded by a community and a brand that I feel truly resonates with me - this is the perfect place to be. That’s why I’m here!
I would like to thank Nothing for this opportunity.
Ali Fakhruddin Yes thank you so much
Ali Fakhruddin i believe in you bro!
let it be from your mind.
For those who would like/benefit from a good starting point, i have included a Phone (3a) 3D model in the below post, along with instructions as to how i got it from the nothing.tech website. You can also grab the other colours with the same method!
https://nothing.community/d/29511-phone-3a-3d-model-glb
This is also a great option for those who want to portray their design in 3D but have limited 3D modelling knowledge.
Super excited to see our community members cook!

I want to replace google calculator with this one …. how can we remove google calculator permanently?
As you may know by now, with the Phone (3a) series, Nothing introduced Camera Presets. One of the features added with this capability is the option to use LUTs (Look-Up Tables) in the camera app. This can be done simply by importing a .cube file into the camera app. Once imported, the LUT becomes available under the Filter submenu, allowing you to see the colour grading live in the viewfinder and eliminating the need for post-processing.
You may ask, ‘How do I obtain such .cube files’?
Well, @RohitPakalapati has created a guide that covers everything you need to get started, including the most common methods for creating .cube files to import into the camera app. Meanwhile, @Rob
came up with another creative approach—using ChatGPT, and the best part is, this can be done with the free plan! (account may be required)
Prompt examples with results
I’ll share 2 examples from the popular TV show Severance and the film franchise Mad Max. Once you’ve downloaded the .cube file generated by ChatGPT, you can import it into the camera app as a filter and create a preset from it.
Severance
Prompt used:
Make me a LUT based on severance colour palette and create .cube file
The preset, along with an example photo:
Mad Max
Prompt used:
make me a LUT based on mad max colour palette and create .cube file
The preset, along with an example photo:
I encourage you to try it out for yourself and share the results with us—go have some fun!
Ali Fakhruddin you have done a fantastic job! I hope they implement your ideas!
Ali Fakhruddin was there a n calc app? It’s removed from play, but can’t you load up the APK file in here, please?
