LDAC—Sony’s proprietary Bluetooth codec (transfer protocol) that enables the wireless transmission of Hi-Res audio.
If you’re not 100% certain that both your transmitting and receiving devices support LDAC, DO NOT ENABLE IT.
Why? Many smartphones and laptops (yes, even Apple products) do not support LDAC. When one device isn’t compatible, you could experience audio issues rather than improvements. In other words, while LDAC can potentially enhance sound quality, its benefits are only realized when both devices are on board. Otherwise, you might actually end up with degraded sound performance.
