  • RahulPegwal I do not know if that is an issue in Phone(2a). I have seen that device once. But the person who uses that phone has display set at 120.

If you think that is a real issue that happens within the OS, you may raise a bug in feedback.

You can also enable developer options and then enable the toggle to show refresh rate. Then you can see the display refresh rate real-time.

  • Bonjai comparing to an iPhone, the app opening and other window animations have less duration on Nothing OS, this duration is the default duration of Android I guess. Also the jump from 120 to 60Hz is huge, so our eyes will take time to adjust. My PC has a 180Hz monitor. Using my Phone(2) right after using my PC sometimes takes some time for my eyes to adjust. I haven’t had any devices which have refresh rate less than 120 or 100Hz so it’s sometimes difficult for me to adjust too.

I have checked if this is true on my Phone(2).

I never found any laggy applications but it took about a day or two to get used to 60Hz again. Although scrolling feels jittery in 60Hz after getting used to 120Hz. But that’s normal.

    • anayathassan8 haven’t noticed any of this issue yet. Why don’t you try a factory reset maybe that will help. Also do check if any background application is causing this issue

    • Been using Nothing OS 3.0 on my nothing phone (2), which is my primary device. Here’s what I’ve noticed:

      Bugs:

      1. The new control centre is looking good. Yet there’s a bug that causes a few toggles from the third row that shouldn’t be visible to show up when the slide back animation is initiated. (I have attached a video please take a look)

      2. While recording video indoors or in low light - the exposure shifts instantly instead of gradually increasing, which sometimes makes the video feel very cheap. Yet no such issues in outdoors or in HDR video

      3. Network issue - I’m sometimes getting missed call notification yet no ring or incoming calls are shown

      4. Network icon bug on status bar - the WiFi and network icon sometimes glitches.

      5. Front Camera during video calls - preview from my phone has a very low frame rate as well as have the exposure glitch mentioned above.

      Improvements:

      1. Overall animations feel smooth as well as app opening times.
      2. Tried some portrait and night shots and I can clearly say there are certain improvements.
      3. New lock screen looks really good. I wish more customisation like depth effects for clocks were present.
      4. Getting very good battery back up compared to NOS 2.6. I noticed this more as I was able to use this phone in an emergency situation until the battery level was very low.
      5. New smart app drawer creates friction. Apps buried within folders are perfect for someone like me. It helps me do less mindless social media scrolling.

I will update this info if I notice any other bugs or anything important. Kudos to the software team. Waiting for the stable release.
