Derren I buy nothing phone 2 Indian version I used in India now I’m in Dubai recently I make factory reset it’s asking Indian valid SIM I have India roaming SIM still it’s not accepting

If I send my phone to India it will work..?

Please check out the information in this thread.

If you factory reset the phone, you will need to reactivate again with a India SIM on a India network (local-non roaming)

If you are unable to do so, i recommend contacting support.

If an option is to take the phone back to India to reactivate, then yes this should work.

Derren I bought a Samsung Galaxy S20FE in India (not from Nothing, I bought it in person from a Samsung store). I activated it in India using an Indian sim, and then used it overseas with an overseas sim. I did a factory reset in Japan and then used it with a New Zealand sim with no problems. In my case, the region lock was not reinstated by doing a factory reset, it remained unlocked. I just wanted to share my experience to show that there is no hard and fast rule, it can vary from device to device.

Derren If let say I bought the nothing2 in India and inserted a India sim, after 2 days I go to US and inserted my American sim. So from above comments this american sim will work with no resets right…

AshishJuttu yes it will work just don’t reset it or else you have to use Indian sim again to activate it.

Will it work in saudi if I activate my phone with an Indian sim in India and change to a local Saudi sim when I arrive in Saudi ?

And also why are people factory resetting their phone ?

And will doing normal Shutdown cause me problems of again activating the phone again with an Indian sim ??

And also will I have to use specific Saudi sim or I can choose any Saudi sim brand ?

I’ve travelled umpteen times out of India……it’s very rare that one resets a phone while travelling…. usually it’s only a restart!

All you travelers, think about the last time you travelled and reset your phone!

I am using an Indian origin nothing phone 2a in Germany. For last three weeks I’m using my Indian sim card in my slot 1 it’s working fine until I get using my new German Sim card in slot 2 of my phone 2a. It’s always shows no network and shows SIM1 not allowed. Any kind of help will be appreciated.

I just brought nothing phone 2 from Flipkart for my wife and she got the phone today. This year I plan to bring my family to Dubai, UAE.

If I put UAE SIM while I’m in india, once she comes to Dubai will she able to use the phone without any issues.

. Only after purchasing I came to know that’s the phone is turn on with Indian SIM only. Anyway I have contacted the support team and awaiting their updates.

Meantime, anyone can assist here.

I’m curious to know what regional lock means and how one can unlock it.

ChristyRozario You’re able to use your phone abroad for as long as you wish once the device is set up successfully with an Indian SIM on a valid Indian network. Only if you factory reset your device would you have to go through this process again
