Community Edition - Stage 3 Submissions Now Closed
Rob Hey uhm. Can we have a template like a white one, That one black template from X/Twitter is kinda hard to work with or maybe a png of a template thks…
AlemnielGregorio A transparent one is available with the brief on nothing.tech
My submission for this stage is live. I am calling it the Phosphorescent Two-Face edition. Inspired by the winning hardware design and the iconic batman villain. (Also, thanks a million to @Rob for fixing the naming issue without me even mentioning it. The entry shows Rahil H. properly now. )
(Fun fact - If you look at Two-face’s eyes one is normal and the other is ultrawide, you know, just like the camera module on phone (2a))
If anyone is interested in the full write-up it is here - SUBMISSION LINK
The SIM ejector tool transparent plastic should be replaced with the same illuminated material as the phone 2a’s?
flo_rahil Ima call it already. You are the winner. I mean come on bro. That’s insanely good.
Rob Hi, thanks again for fixing the name issue. Honestly, I only properly started after the stage 3 brief was revealed, but I did start conceptualizing a few days before the stage 2 winner was announced. I started working on it just a few hours after the brief. I must say that the provided template was really helpful in streamlining the overall workflow.
flo_rahil Nailed it! You have my vote
Damn, I just saw the idea I’m working on has been submitted by Miguel , gotta find a new idea. If you’re reading this, Miguel, big thumbs up for you!
Hi guys, has anyone had an issue with downloading the assets? I’m having issues opening the file.
Hello, Nothing community! I’m Miguel_KYOTEN. This week I discovered this competition while helping my wife decide on a new phone.
I didn’t participate in the earlier stages, but seeing the results, I couldn’t have done better! The designs are fantastic!
Anyway, before discussing my proposal, let me introduce myself. I’m a web designer, but I dabble in graphic design and printing. I’m familiar with techniques like using inks and UV, which I’ve applied to this packaging design. Right now, I’m looking to start my own business, and winning a stage competition like this would help highlight my portfolio.
Regarding the design, I wanted to maintain the same phone position in the box as the other versions of the Nothing (2a), creating a sense of continuity.
I chose black with fluorescent ink because I think it looks elegant while highlighting this phone’s unique fluorescence. I know it’s a risky colour, but it aims to differentiate itself from the rest of the (2a) from the start—the packaging is the first thing you see. Also, using fewer inks might be more cost-effective to print and, above all, more eco-friendly.
Finally, it really stands out when the lights go out, simulating the effect that @Kenta achieved with their design in the first phase.
I hope you like it! If you do, please vote!
Good luck to everyone!
Sorry if my English isn’t perfect
Miguel_KYOTEN Thanks for sharing! Love the renders!
