Just update my np1. Remove navbar.

Stop throwing together meaningless trinkets.

This looks really interesting could it be a volume wheel who knows I do like the colour very orange 🍊 be interesting if they have different colours too. Got some texture on the back too which looks nice will see when it actually comes out 😊

Is that a volume knob? That is super cool. I hope the cmf device runs a stripped down version of Nothing OS without any bloatware and receives 3 years of software updates. I wish it is a compact phone, with screen size around 6″. But chances of it being compact device at this price is very low. 🥲

Ooo this could be interesting! I’ve liked the choices around CMF and I hope they stay experimental! I wonder what we will see from the dial on a Phone.

Rob ⚡️ entry point to our entire product ecosystem

To me, the idea that this could be an “entry point” also implies that we could see similar pricing/placement of this device against other Nothing products (akin to how Buds are placed against Ear) but stripped back in some way and experimental in others. Watch Pro comes to mind because it didn’t use Wear OS, potentially we will see a more experimental OS spun off from NothingOS.

I initially thought the CMF PHONE 1 was a phone (1): CMF Edition, and wondered why nothing didn’t go for the (2) or (2a) instead. After looking online I’ve realised that may not strictly be the case (but could be, if it’s meant to be a budget phone).

The wheel is interesting. It would be great for zooming in the camera app, but if the phone is more than 22cm tall the wheel is in the wrong place for volume control – unless this is a foldable.

I wonder if this will be nothing’s compact phone. I’m in the market for one, but sadly this CMF phone isn’t for me because of the choice of colour (that can’t be entirely hidden with a case or skin).

Could be a good phone for school children, if it’s cheap enough and is designed to encourage less screen time.

Rob ⚡️ Wait! Is that a volume knob in a phone?🧐 .? Or knob which will help to scroll the content in a page?

Very exciting. Can’t wait to see how you guys tried to make it useful in real time…

Oh, wow, yet another budget smartphone…
I´d much more wish for inauguration of / and managing stability as well as maturity of existing products.

I really hope the - presumably - plastic phone is made entirely from recycled plastic. Knowing what we all know about the damage plastic is doing to the world, I think it irresponsible of manufacturers who choose to make products from plastic to then choose to support the production of more plastic instead of recycling that which is already smothering the planet.

If the CMF PHONE 1 is a budget phone, would it have been more economical to make the phone (1) cheaper and release a new range of colours?

That aside, it appears Nothing wants to try something new and are reimagining smartphones with their latest device. Look forward to seeing what they have in store.

is this really a new phone? is this really a new phone? I think more of a CD player from the 2000s with the wheel that served as volume

      Rob ⚡️

Well, it would be the top left corner of phone in photo

And it will have a leather back,

Magic dial for volume and also can be shutter button and many other features

It will have a 120hz/90hz Oled display

50 MP main and 12 MP ultra wide cams

And Nothing OS or a similar CMF OS

Chipset can be Snapdragon 7 gen 2 or mediatek dmy 7000+

It will be 5G with dual sim and can be under 17k in INR

      Imagined CMF Phone 1

      Front View:

      • Display: The front of the phone features a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with vibrant colors and high contrast. The bezels are slim, maximizing the screen-to-body ratio, and there is a small punch-hole or notch at the top center for the 32-megapixel front camera.

      • Edges: The edges of the phone are rounded, providing a comfortable grip.

      Back View:

      • Material: The back is made of high-quality plastic with a matte finish to reduce fingerprints and give a premium feel.

      • Colors: The phone is available in three colors: a striking pop orange, a classic black, and a sleek white.

      • Camera: There is a single rear camera positioned at the top left corner. The camera setup includes a small LED flash beside it.

      • Branding: The CMF logo is prominently displayed in the center of the back panel.

      Side View:

      • Buttons: The right side has the power button and volume rocker. The power button might have an integrated fingerprint sensor for easy access.

      • SIM Tray: The left side features the SIM tray, which supports dual SIM cards.

      Bottom View:

      • Ports: At the bottom, there is a USB-C port for charging and data transfer, along with a speaker grille and a microphone.

      Top View:

      • Secondary Mic: The top edge might have a secondary microphone for noise cancellation during calls.

Well no one can say the circular feature in the corner was stolen from any other phone. I wonder what it is for? It is knurled so it seems to want to be rotated. 🤔

Excited for this. I wonder if we will get the exact same NothingOS experience or it will be a different CMF.OS ?

Wonder if it’s something as basic as a lanyard holder. Or something more sophisticated.

      1. Its gotta be some sort of scroll wheel , like on watches with a rotating bezel (galaxy watches)
      2. Wouldn’t be just a volume knob. Would have to work for brightness as well.

It’s defo going to be this phones line stand out feature such as the glyphs on a nothing phone

Rob ⚡️ As others overlook this category, we’re giving it our full attention.

Well hello CMF Phone 1?! I shall certainly be giving this my full attention too!

Many speculations about this dial type circle in the image. Seems to be a mainstay of the CMF ecosystem, with both Buds and Neckband Pro featuring this detail now… 👀

That classic CMF Orange is beautiful too and looks like the texture may be a vegan leather? - Either way, very little revealed, many questions still to be answered! Very excited to see what this new device can bring to the table, my only question is "How soon is “Coming Soon”?" 🔥
