Rob Wait! Is that a volume knob in a phone?
.? Or knob which will help to scroll the content in a page?
Very exciting. Can’t wait to see how you guys tried to make it useful in real time…

Oh, wow, yet another budget smartphone…
I´d much more wish for inauguration of / and managing stability as well as maturity of existing products.
I really hope the - presumably - plastic phone is made entirely from recycled plastic. Knowing what we all know about the damage plastic is doing to the world, I think it irresponsible of manufacturers who choose to make products from plastic to then choose to support the production of more plastic instead of recycling that which is already smothering the planet.
If the CMF PHONE 1 is a budget phone, would it have been more economical to make the phone (1) cheaper and release a new range of colours?
That aside, it appears Nothing wants to try something new and are reimagining smartphones with their latest device. Look forward to seeing what they have in store.
is this really a new phone? is this really a new phone? I think more of a CD player from the 2000s with the wheel that served as volume
Well, it would be the top left corner of phone in photo
And it will have a leather back,
Magic dial for volume and also can be shutter button and many other features
It will have a 120hz/90hz Oled display
50 MP main and 12 MP ultra wide cams
And Nothing OS or a similar CMF OS
Chipset can be Snapdragon 7 gen 2 or mediatek dmy 7000+
It will be 5G with dual sim and can be under 17k in INR
Display: The front of the phone features a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with vibrant colors and high contrast. The bezels are slim, maximizing the screen-to-body ratio, and there is a small punch-hole or notch at the top center for the 32-megapixel front camera.
Edges: The edges of the phone are rounded, providing a comfortable grip.
Material: The back is made of high-quality plastic with a matte finish to reduce fingerprints and give a premium feel.
Colors: The phone is available in three colors: a striking pop orange, a classic black, and a sleek white.
Camera: There is a single rear camera positioned at the top left corner. The camera setup includes a small LED flash beside it.
Branding: The CMF logo is prominently displayed in the center of the back panel.
Buttons: The right side has the power button and volume rocker. The power button might have an integrated fingerprint sensor for easy access.
SIM Tray: The left side features the SIM tray, which supports dual SIM cards.

CMF Phone 1 as imagined by Bing Designer Tool
Fingers crossed this is in the USA too. I need this in my collection
Well no one can say the circular feature in the corner was stolen from any other phone. I wonder what it is for? It is knurled so it seems to want to be rotated.
Excited for this. I wonder if we will get the exact same NothingOS experience or it will be a different CMF.OS ?
Wonder if it’s something as basic as a lanyard holder. Or something more sophisticated.
It’s defo going to be this phones line stand out feature such as the glyphs on a nothing phone
Rob
As others overlook this category, we’re giving it our full attention.
Well hello CMF Phone 1?! I shall certainly be giving this my full attention too!
Many speculations about this dial type circle in the image. Seems to be a mainstay of the CMF ecosystem, with both Buds and Neckband Pro featuring this detail now…
That classic CMF Orange is beautiful too and looks like the texture may be a vegan leather? - Either way, very little revealed, many questions still to be answered! Very excited to see what this new device can bring to the table, my only question is "How soon is “Coming Soon”?"
tomkarbowski or a zoom scroll for camera maybee
I don’t own any CMF product myself, but I’m a huge fan of the whole idea around the brand.
As soon as I saw the knob, I immediately thought about a volume scroll, but as some other fellas have pointed out in this thread, it could also be used for things like scrolling through menus, pages, or even zooming the camera. For sure the idea of implementing a knob in a phone is very differentiating from other devices.
Reading the statement, specially this part:
Rob
As others overlook this category,
I’m quite positive it’s gonna be a small sized phone, as it was an idea discarded by Apple and some other companies (such as the now-gone ASUS Zenfone)
I think CMF is a brand focused on design & affordability, so my guess is that this is gonna be an entry level phone, priced around 200€/$ and with humble specs, but for sure a solid design and software.
So excited to see more of this coming!

Interesting thoughts. CMF is a budget / low tier brand by market positioning. They have to keep the nothing and CMF products visibly apart to avoid cannibalising themselves. Thus the CMF phone 1 will fit in this scheme -no higher tier phone to expect.
Would be dope to have this realised with as much Recyclate as feasible.
I don´t See any reasonable link to affect Phone 1 appearance though. Rather, it should probably disappear from the market soon.
tomkarbowski or a zoom scroll for camera maybee
Perhaps. That would then be far from mature and in line with the market.
I mean, who really longs for a physical scroll in 2024?
Maybe the CMF PHONE 1 is a modified phone (1) with added funk. Should find out soon enough.
I reckon the wheel would make it easier and be more accurate to zoom with than trying to pinch the screen. I’d suggest making it possible to add other commands to it too, much like ASUS’s ZenTouch multifunction power button. Swipe the wheel up to refresh the webpage, or swipe down to bring down the notification panel, etc.
This phone comes without glyphs, and it looks really bad tbhi mean how u like all the things? There are good things as well as bad…this looks not better than phone 2 or phone 2a
Have you seen or know any more of the phone than what one side of one corner looks like?
Yep keep launching new phones and keep ignoring Old phones matter of fact your flagship device NP2
Good job team.
You can grow your business certainly I have no problem with it in contrast you have to care about your old products as well but as far as I can tell there is no effects ..
sean (1) i can predict and i imagine the phone what will it look like as i have experience in imagine things…also that phone will not better than flagship phone which is phone 2, then there is no point to stuck in this cheep phone….the original is “nothing” not that CMF….only official “nothing phone” is the best.
