After the 2.5.1 update the battery draining issue is so bad I’m barely getting 5hrs SOT before with the same usage I used to get 8+hrs SOT and I thought they will fix this with the 2.5.1a update but still no fix and the i think the main issue is the refresh rate it’s always staying in 120hz I got the phone 2 for the os experience and the praises I’ve heard about the updates in phone 1 but now I am disappointed.

My nothing phone 2 is having severe battery drain and heating issues after the 2.5 update
Is anyone else having this issue??
Will this be addressed in the next update?
When i go to battery details it shows that chrome is using a lot of battery even though i never use it and brave is my default web browser

AbhilashSabat_nv6pBv5Cth the issue still persists with the latest 2.5.2 update as well. Nothing as to sort the battery drain and inaccurate screen on time issues soon.

I have seen an unforeseen issue with Nothing Phone 2’s battery, that it is losing more than 4% to 6% of charging when I keep it idly at night almost for 7 to 9 hours. I keep all the things off. Also phone goes into power off mode but still it loses 4% charging seems bad. I have used other phones like OnePlus 11, Realme GT 2 & Mi 11 & moto edge 30 ultra, none of them loses more than 2%. So it’s the issue with Nothing only in my experience. Please check & fix with an update if possible. Overall battery backup is good, SOT is around 8+ hours in mixed usage. But idle drain is concerning issue.
I have the same issue with the NP (1). Charged to 92% left it for 24hrs and the charge had dropped to 84% only with the sim card (data off) network on. Can this be addressed??

thalapathy Same here. Tried factory reset, turning off data, wifi, Bluetooth, even battery saving mod. Nothing helps. Still draining a lot of battery when idling, but according to battery monitoring apps, like accubattery the phone sleeps well.
What apps are you using and what are their usage ?… You can’t say I have problem and not sharing the info, it’s impossible for people to help you that way.
It’s been reported for example that the Withing watch app is a major issue in battery drain, and it could be for other.
Remi F this info will make no sense, cause its showing insane numbers. Its obviously software problem, related to rom it self, not apps iam using, cause 1) I already told u that i did a factory reset which means there is no apps but stock and 2) there is no such issue on my other phones.
