Why Nothing tech team haven’t consider providing a option to hide Navigation bar?

Everyone knows that this phone has a display that stands unique from others with uniform bezels, unfortunately navigation bar remains constant with pitch black background in majority of the third party apps , that makes visually bad pretending to be thick bezels like some low end phones.

Dear Nothing team, kindly consider this!

If you would like to provide feedback/suggestions regarding Nothing OS - do so directly on the device: Settings, System, Feedback

An option would be nice, but remember Google started it on Pixel phones long ago and I’m sure people have asked for it to be removed and Google hasn’t.

Has never bothered me though, I think it looks kinda cool.

Oh I guess I misread or wasn’t thinking right, I thought people were talking about the gesture line.

The bottom nav bar is all up to the app developer on how it looks. I think people get confused when it’s black, lol.

On many apps its full color, but the gesture line is always present.

I’m up for this too. There should be an option to Hide the Navigation Bar/Pill. So users who prefer it could just leave it on. And for users who prefer to hide it have the option to do so.

Nothing OS is designed to have a specific look, I believe themes would ruin its uniqueness and style. Probably a widgets though would be a nice addition

One thing that I don’t like is the white line that is at the bottom of the screen, it would be nice if the user could decide if they would like to have it or not, or at least make it not so intrusive in some apps and have it have a background completely transparent and make it not take up screen space. An example of this is that in the Twitter app “X” steals a little space on the screen but in the weather app the white line has a transparent background.

Merged 11 posts from Navigation Bar .
Daniel changed the title to Hide gesture navigation bar .

I noticed that even ios have this navigation bar in all third party apps with ui intelligently filling up the background matching with the app, and hides itself in certain areas… I would love the option to hide completely or atleast well integrated ui like ios..
