JovanAdrian If Nothing continues to brand themselves as limited or exclusive, whether intentionally or not, they risks losing much of the community that has been supporting their vision with both time and money. There’s a fine line between building excitement and becoming just a “hype machine”; when hype becomes constant, it’s tough to deliver on promises and avoid alienating and disappointing the very audience drawn in by that excitement. That is either a balance to be learned by Nothing or the very thing that destroys them long term…
tanxtr3m3 you are correct. Kindly increase your production size 1000 pc are very less . Especially for India

Hi folks,
I wanted to clarify that the limited production of 1,000 units is due to the fact that this is our first year of Community Edition, it’s been a major testing ground and we took a decision on production that would ensure we would not dilute resources. We ran this project to better understand how we extend outside of the traditional corporate boundaries in design and development. It’s a first attempt to co-create with the community - we learned a lot along the journey - and we are extremely proud of the result. It strengthens our belief in a future for the company built hand-in-hand with the community. We will do more and push ourselves further as we continue to test and launch.
We went above and beyond to try to make Community Edition as accessible as possible for each region we operate in, but we had to make some trade-offs due to project complexity. For example, unfortunately US was not viable this time, and we took the decision to exclude from sales with a heavy heart.
We want to keep experimenting with Community Edition and bring it to as many people as we can, so we will continue developing with co-creation to achieve the vision that Carl has set for us.
Will i be lucky enough to get this one. I just cancelled my S24 order to get hands on this beauty why only 1000 units and are these 1000 units include all of the globe or per country, The Design looks too good and this is making me to turn my way towards nothing instead of Samsung.

Hello Mattia ! Could you help me please ? I’ve participated too into the Hardware Concept and I’ve tried to reach to the Nothing team but nobody responded, not even the main company or the representatives here in Romania. I would like to get my hands on the new Phone (2a) Community Edition but my income is inexistent for the moment, looking for a job. I also have a YouTube channel and I would kindly ask for you help if I could get my hands on a device like this and pay in a different way. I would love to make unboxing video, vlogs, filming at events all from the Phone (2a) Plus Community Edition, knowing that in a small percentage there % I’ve participated. I’ve tried to reach to the Nothing support but it’s been 3 months since I’ve haven’t got a positive or a negative response. I don’t have money right now to pay but it would mean a lot for me if I could get my hands on a unique phone like this, I would keep it for the rest of my life, telling to my children how a company believed in a simple but humble person like me. On November 10th is my birthday too, it would mean a lot if a company like Nothing would care for my 25th anniversary, and I promise for as long as I would live, I would take care of that phone. Mattia appreciate this and understand for sure, it’s just unfortunate these decisions weren’t more transparent upfront and maybe something learned for the next community project to ensure the details of the launch are clear as to who the community project is actually aimed at versus community seeing it called “community edition” and it’s not offered to the entire community at launch. Thanks and look forward to the future and what Nothing does next!

I like this concept but there is a little disadvantages : the update time , 3 years update and 4 for security

Mattia is the USA version the same as international models in terms of which bands are available in the phone. Like the same bands as the 2a and 2a+. I still would love to register to potentially have rng pick me haha.

Mattia sorry mate, but in my eyes. your reputation is already tarnished, and now really going downward especially after reading your post.
- You guys have a concept of making a transparent design, transparent tech, etc, yet you guys couldn’t be transparent bout this phone.
- What does community mean to you guys really ffs? Is this CE for the Nothing Community? Or only a community based at certain locations? If so don’t call it a CE, it’s Limited but inspired by community.

You’re contradicting yourself here, so cut the BS, is this limited or will there be more production and available to more regions?
- “we took a decision on production that would ensure we would not dilute resources.” why so rushed into production phase? You could’ve made it pre-order for a certain period. If u really wanted to test and grow your community, you could’ve as an example set a minimum order (ex: 1000) amount for each region. Let your community do the advertising and help you guys get that minimum order. In return you could see the strength of your community.

Be careful on how you communicate with your audience, all your concepts, vision, etc will go down the drain if you don’t.
