I’ve noticed that the weather data on our app isn’t always accurate. It seems that the app currently pulls information from AccuWeather, but most if the time this data doesn’t reflect the real-time conditions, and there is no option to report when the weather information isn’t accurate.

Adding other sources like Weather.com, the local meteorological department, or even user-reported data could make a big difference.

Let’s be real, at least for me the weather widget is the most controversial piece of item present on the home screen. At this point, for the Nothing OS enthusiasts the weather widget, etc is a part of their home screen, but the weather widget has been showing real misinformation at least on my device. When I checked, the source the device used for weather information is from “AccuWeather” which is a really popular website known for its usage for weather.

But for instance, if my location started to rain terribly, even after checking it repeatedly in many scenarios the widget still seemed to show “CLOUDY” but when I checked Google? it showed the correct condition of the weather. But the temperature seems to be somewhat accurate but what’s always wrong, yes ALWAYS WRONG is representing the condition of the location I’m in. But what’s even worse is that they do give occasional notifications during the mornings that “THERE WILL BE THUNDERSTORM 6:00 p.m.” but ngl, there’s never been any thunder-shit as they said there would be, which finally made me have to turn off this wonderfully made yet inaccurate feature

But above all that, the UI for the weather application is “TOP NOTCH” even their widget integration, etc but due to which I was having seizures thinking about removing this beautifully made widget because the weather info was always wrong.

Sorry team, you have to do something about this one, Nothing widgets are the brand ambassador of what makes NOTHING they are, so…

The weather widget almost always seems to show incorrect current weather at least in my location (Latvia). I think it would be a great option if we had a choice in the app to change the provider (for example Google nowcast seems to be quite precise).

    Dear Nothing Team

This is to bring to your notice that irrespective of climatic conditions, the weather app is always cloudy. I live in Perambur, Chennai, Tamilnadu. It is raining heavily with orange and red alerts. The nothing app is always the same even if it is hot and sunny.

Where as iPhone has True representation of weather from time to time. I request Nothing team to collaborate with weather app which is renowned for accurate weather info. If somebody can provide good experience, so do you..

Mr Steel I have given feedback as you have suggested. Also shared feedback on many platforms but there is no traction. Automated system generated replies

RehanAhmed_3h19jedWCl Providing feedback is not a guarantee for change. Nothing Weather is using AccuWeather for its data. If you’re not happy with the current weather data, you can always use a 3rd party weather app which has the weather data provider of your liking.

Remi F Exactly right! That’s why it would be good if you could choose another weather data provider.

I had several times it was raining when it was sunny in reality.

In Hungary, for example, MET Norway is the most accurate in both forecast and actual data …

Same thing for me in Serbia. Weather shown differs on app and accu weather website and is almost never accurate. And it also locates wrong location, different part of city than the one I am at. Checked at multiple city neighbourhoods and it’s always off by a lot. It looks great but it’s useless from since I bought this phone and that was long time ago.

I wrote to support when I had os 2.6 and they couldn’t fix it. Wrote again on os 3.0, still waiting for an answer. Will keep you updated if they reply.

One question for community, does it work well for anybody?
