The features we’ve received so far feel a bit different from what was described as “worth the wait.”
Lock Glimpse
I don’t mind new features, but I chose Nothing mainly for its no-bloatware philosophy. This one honestly feels a bit like an ad pop-up. (My mom’s previous Realme device had a similar feature, which is why I decided to get her a CMF phone instead.)
App Icon Redesign
Overall, I think most of the new icons look clean and distinct — I actually like the new direction. The only exception for me is the Gallery icon, which feels a bit too simplified. Still, I appreciate the unique touches, like using an umbrella for the Weather app instead of another cloud.
Overall Thoughts
I’m still observing where Nothing is heading design-wise. I do hope to see more customization options in the future — for example, allowing us to adjust the size of existing clock styles on the lock screen, or making Nothing’s own widgets resizable beyond the fixed 2x2 (maybe 2x6?).
Just sharing some personal thoughts as a user who really values the brand’s design and overall philosophy.
