Daniel I did this. Meanwhile, can you assure me if it’s possible to unlock remotely? It says “Indian SIM only,” which I already have, but it doesn’t mention that it won’t work while roaming. This is really absurd.

R_WasikChowdhury Try calling the Nothing customer care. When I received my 2a, I was confused with the “India SIM” reference on the box and called up the toll free number to check. I did not want to open the box till I was sure that I could use it outside India as I have a non India SIM too. The customer care rep assured me that the Indian SIM was only needed for activation and it had to be done in India. But if I face any issues later I could call the toll free number and they would unlock the device.

Hi nothing I bought a phone 2a from india to gift my friend in iraq basically on a ship. I have indian sim card but it still shows use a valid sim card. Please help me I really want this phone to work.

Please see all the info above regarding the India sim unit.

You will need to activate it using an India sim on a India network (local-non roaming) before use in other regions.

I’m planning to buy the Nothing Phone 2A at Saudi Arabia and would like to use my Saudi Arabia (STC SIM) and India (Vodafone SIM) as primary and secondary. Will it work, or I need to do any setup..?

NKF_AQxnSyTvQY Considering that the model you’re likely to have will be the international variant, i don’t see why this would be an issue. Best thing to do if you’re unsure is to check that all the bands are supported by your carrier.

This discussion is more to do with highlighting the extra activation required when buying an India SIM only variant of the phone.

SALIHKM indian p2 and p2a units require first setup in India using an Indian sim. Then it can be used anywhere with any sim
