I think the rear camera has improved a lot, although it’s not quite there yet… the selfie camera still leaves your face with a reddish tone, it seems like we’re always drunk
Nothing Phone (2a) - Camera Feedback

In rear camera if a face is detected ,there is a sudden over exposure of light and high white balance of the overall image. Now if I remove the face from the image the exposure becomes normal but if I again add it, the image becomes over exposed . I noticed it is happening when face auto detection is detecting a face in the image and this is happening before I click the picture and obviously the post processing is not fixing this. This was not present in 2.5.4. Its a new bug in 2..5.4.a.
Please let me know if anyone is facing this issue.
This happened to me before 2.5.4.a update as well.

Camera image processing taking time and also need some improvements , I’m facing frame drops while in normal use. I’m requesting nothing team please resolve these as soon as possible
Please give us a proper update on the camera as the pictures are too dull and noisy
DYashwanth agreed
There is no detail and when you zoom in a bit, it breaks like a 10k phone sensor.

I don’t know what kind of collaboration and implementation TEAM NOTHING has done with the Cameras.
I had never seen this much inconsistent cameras in my life. The OLD Nokia keypad phone cameras are more consistent than this.
I am not talking about the cameras that are bad the algorithm and the processing in the software they are doing is worse. Very unhappy.
Processing time and camera performance has to be improve. Very saturated photos in output. Try to be natural.
Yes ,the camera needs to be improved a lot. Once you try to crop the pic or zoom in a little bit, there is too much blur and noise . Apart from that, the main issue is the over exposure of photos and absurd white balance when face is detected in photos. Though I am happy that the lens flare issue is now fixed .

I am highlighting this issue since from the beginning that after a click, camera app took alot alot in post processing and if you shaked the phone. Then you will have a blurry image which is so annoying.
Im surprised, as Nothing team has push 3 updates but still they couldn’t fix this issue. Bcoz of that my friends make fun of me of buying this phone.. their phone which is half of NP 2a has faster post processing what to say .
I can only suggest or request to Nothing team to work on it. It’s really very irritating.

Click a picture, wait 3-4 seconds before opening the image? It sounds ridiculous but it works.

I think 50mp mode is better than 12mp.

One more thing I noticed. the lens flare issue is fixed in primary camera but its still there in Ultrawide. What is the point of having a 50Mp Ultrawide if it has lens flare ruining the picture.
Following are my findings for Nothing Phone 2A camera:
- Lens flare in Ultrawide still not fixed.
- Post face detection in image, both Ultrawide and Primary camera are literally spiking the exposure and resulting in an over exposed and incorrectly white balanced end product. The light control is still way off. This is major issue.
- Post Processing time - its not an issue for me to wait 2-4 secs if the processing is good like in Google Pixel 7A ,there was post processing time but the end product was quite good. But in Nothing Phone 2A, that`s not the case.
- The 50MP modes and HDR modes are quite good btw but 12MP ones needs a lot of work.
- Improve the overall quality of pictures since if we zoom a bit there is a lot of noise and blur.
- Decrease the white balance in Ultrawide a little bit to make it in sync with primary camera.
- Portrait photos have a bit of pink/red skin tone which I think can be fixed.
- Slight lag in HDR videos. To be honest this is not in the videos we make but also in the YouTube ones its noticeable.
Others feel free to add to this list.

It’s best, if Nothing delete this camera app and replace this with Functional GCam Mod
