irfun4ever don’t demote yourself too make it look good for nothing, let’s see iPhone have better update cycle fine , Samsung gives update every month’s even mid range phones , OnePlus does better in differentiating flagship phones and mid range phone pretty good by giving better updates to R and flagship series
Nothing Phone Development/Update Priorities
irfun4ever It has enough stuff that needs fixing, and it took so long to wait for the last update, so what did it bring? phone2 went from leading to falling behind, tell me why?
User_sAXQvzkCC6 yeah my guesses are bit wierd but i was just wondering if someone would mention other possible reason. Maybe they lack developers for phone 2 .
Atleast improve rear camera
Who asked you to agree . LMAO
I regret buying nothing phone 2. Even though it’s the second released and flagship phone still there is no new update. Developer and the nothing team is testing everything on phone 2 (a), which makes the phone 2 user feel neglected.
Phone 2 should get the first update as it is the flagship phone or nothing but it seems like they have forgotten about the phone 2.
Using nothing phone 2 their flagship and yet not getting feature updates…last update was in april…after the release of their phone 2A they are not giving feature update to their flagship.
Why nothing is doing so…I can’t understand…they should improve the camera quality of phone 2 as well.

Next time no nothing. Competing with iPhone with this intent LOL
Their marketing strategy was to grab customers under the title they are competing with iphone in terms of camera and update policy…now nothings seems to be working out…
And people start talking about how small they are…so hier new people for R&D…we incorporated our trust in your company invested around 600$ since I have (12+512) and now getting neglected…recently bought nothing ear 2024 edition they are really impressive sounding earbuds…but plz treat your flagship phone like one
HPande75 In your opinion, what smartphone do you think has the best camera in the market? I’m just wondering.
The photos we are getting in potrait mode…
Vs
The photo quality we want…it’s not that camera sensor is not good…they are not looking into post processing.
As I always said mistakes has been made to choosing Nothing over other brand especially for picking phone 2 with this price..but can’t do much rn bcz u can’t change device when you bought a 40k budget

I think nothing software team unable to manage multiple product at same time, focus only in phone 2a next focus on CMF phone 1.Even a turtle is not as slow as Nothing software team.
While some community posts suggest Nothing Phone 2 sales aint meeting expectations, I’m concerned about the lack of software support and unaddressed issues.
For early adopters like myself who invested significantly (50k!), better post-launch care is crucial. Features like sound, camera, and accessibility require improvement. I’ve already shared detailed feedback on the community forum: https://nothing.community/d/11156-disillusioned-with-nothing-phone-2-features-feedback-and-future
To regain trust, Nothing should offer an extended year (4 OS +5yrs Security Patches)of software updates and support. A repeat of these issues could lead to delayed purchases in India, with customers waiting 8-10 months after launch.
Updates are typically more frequent on new phones as they require stabilization. Given that the 2A is Nothing’s initial foray into MediaTek series, it certainly demands more attention. In contrast, the 2 shares many similarities with the NP1, resulting in greater stability and consequently fewer updates.
I’m quite pleased with the stability that NP2 provides. The camera performance can be inconsistent, alternating between good and poor shots. I often switch between the NP camera and GCam to achieve the desired results. Personally, I have a knack for capturing great photos, even with the most budget-friendly phones.
Cheers!
I understand the frustrations in not having feature parity across all Nothing devices.
P2a has status bar options, ability to hide control centre from lock screen and to hide the nav bar.
P1 has all of the above, except hiding the nav bar.
P2, has none of the above.
However, the camera complaints aren’t an issue for me. The P2 takes great snaps and the recent update to the “TrueLens Engine” shows Nothings commitments to making strides in this area.
Finally, there has always been a bi-monthly update schedule, so with this in mind, we should be receiving an OTA update some point this month.
Phone (2) and Phone (1) are still supported and haven’t been forgotten. The commitment to 3 years of software updates has been upheld thus far and I have no doubt that they won’t fulfill this.
As always, keep reporting via Settings > System > Feedback as this is the best way to let the team know of any issues/improvements they can fix/make.
Ealesy101 The feedback has been provided numerous times, but the Nothing team seems to be completely ignoring it. The company continues to act as if European problems are global issues, demonstrating a complete disregard for the Indian market.
thalapathy I wouldn’t imagine the company are ignoring the issues. But they might be fixes that require a bit more time and attention?
Also, I don’t agree with your comment of them disregarding the Indian market at all. The Phone (2a) launch showcases that the Indian market is a key demographic for Nothing.
