DaniMachiedo I wasn’t aware of that. It’s ridiculous that countries with more disposable income pay less for Nothing products. Tbh I don’t know the minimum wage in Croatia but it’s obviously much less than in Germany, France, Spain, etc.
The Nothing Headphone 1 aren’t more expensive in Portugal but 849€ (base version) or 949€ for the 16/512 GB version of the NP 3 is clearly too much.
If I was about to spend that kind of money on a phone, I’d choose a Pixel 9 Pro or wait for the Pixel 10. They come with 7 years OS updates instead of 5 and are amongst the best phones for photos and OS experience.

As a Phone 2 user, I was really looking forward to upgrading to the NP3. However, I find the new design a bit unusual—it’s definitely bold, but it may not appeal to everyone. I was expecting a more refined evolution of the NP2.

Also, with the 8S Gen 4 chip, the pricing seems quite high for the Indian market, especially considering the number of competitive options now available in this segment.

That said, I’ve always been a true Nothing fan—I absolutely love the headphones and appreciate the brand’s unique identity.

I sincerely hope the market responds positively to the new approach.

I think the Phone (3) looks great, first when I saw a leak I thought it was ugly… Now that I looked at it again I fell in love. It might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it works for me. Can’t wait to get mine in a month or two!

Phone 2 user here, was planning to switch but…… I’ll be aiming for flagship Vivo X or Oppo Find X series. They’re proper flagships.

My main complain is the LTPS panel. I would not have a good feeling when the display runs with 30Hz in always on mode…

Or am I wrong and its LTPO?

This is… very bittersweet. The Glyph matrix has its functionality, but it’s not something new and definitely not as refreshing and unique as the Glyphs we had before. That also means no ring light and dim flashlight.

Phone’s still too big, that misaligned camera is too disruptive to the beautiful grid design, the matrix screen is too tiny to properly replace glyphs, and I don’t think it’ll “grow on me” much like the 3(a) Pro did.

I like the specs (save for the missing LTPO display), the price, and the new matrix functionality is kinda cool, but it just makes my Phone 3(a) feel superior.

Please consider bringing back the Glyph interface for the Phone 4! Headphones are cool af tho.

I have to admit…. My first Nothing Phone was the 3(a), and I loved the glyphs. I loved the simplicity and minimalism of the operating system. The design language was pleasing to look at, and it’s a solid phone, even for a mid-range that doesn’t act like a mid-range device.

The only pain that I had was that the phones do not support LTE band 13, which is Verizon‘s backbone. Carl said that it will come to the US and be able to be used on more carriers. They did not change this. T-Mobile, and there are multiple MVNOs are the only carrier(s) supported and have very little coverage in my area. So my 3(a) essentially a brick (I hear eBay calling).

Moving onto the design, this phone is ugly as all hell. Yes, I’m disappointed about the glyphs, but that’s not why I’m complaining. The phone has absolutely zero symmetry to it, the new LED display is literally a gimmick, no matter what they said during the keynote. There is so much wasted space on the phone and so much potential. The phone looks half-baked, and rushed quite honestly. And yes, I understand that change happens when it comes to design and design language, but this?

The internals - A Snapdragon Gen 4? mid-range glass on a flagship? A periscope that is worse than the one on the 3(a) Pro? All for the flagship price of 799.00? Taking all this into account, the phone would probably sell better at $699.00 if you can overlook the glaring flaws.

You’d be better off buying a Pixel and sideloading all of Nothing’s software…

Nothing had a real chance here to make a proper flagship phone, and it looks and feels like they really dropped the ball…

I’m overwhelmed by disappointment, I was hyped about the NP3 release, but as we approached close to the release date and leaks were unveiled my hype was downplayed/wind down a lot seeing the empty 6/7 of the back and the overcrowded top, glyphs gone only to be replaced by a tiny dot display that will not fill the gap of glyphs and will not benefit the users and a button on the back nobody asked for, Nothing Identity (glyphs, transparent design) lost In an Industrial design veil of mediocrity.

As I said previously, better focus on what you are good at and make it better (Pricing, design, features, Identity that separates from others), rather than try everything all at once and get humbled by backlash and fan disappointment

TL;DR

⏺ No First Class Glass Protection

⏺ Display Not up to par with other flagships (LTPS Display)

⏺ Glyphs Gone (*Hubris)

⏺ Button for what, to play Schnick Schnack Schnuck or to spin bottle..

⏺ Tiny dot display on top that cannot be used even as fill light as glyphs could, It should be there, yes, only to compliment/evolve along with Glyphs.

⏺ Mediocre Snapdragon Chip NOT suited for Flagship (same priced Sammy runs circles around it)

⏺ Pricing not in touch with reality and offering, we are not subsidizing your ventures/experiments anymore..
