  • Hey Community,

Hope you’re all doing well! As our community site continues to evolve, I’d love to hear your thoughts on improving our content and engagement. We’re particularly interested in understanding what type of content you’d like to see more of: technical tutorials, user reviews, behind-the-scenes looks, or creative projects using Nothing products? Your input is crucial in shaping the future of our site.

One of our community members, @Mirko_ddd, suggested: “I wish more creative users can join the forum and post relevant stuff (which is not just concepts)." This raises an important question: How can we encourage more creative users to join and post relevant content? What kind of content or features do you think would attract new members to our community?

Our aim is to create a hub for creativity, learning, and meaningful interactions – not just a platform for product discussions. Your ideas and suggestions are invaluable in helping us make the Nothing Community site even better, truly reflecting our innovative spirit. Please share your thoughts in the comments below. Together, we can enhance our community platform and make it a more engaging space for everyone.

    Looking forward to your views!

    • Louis ☕️ Perfect, I surely will!

@Mirko_ddd Oooh ok 🙁 Yeah, maybe I’ll program it, or I don’t know if the “flip to mute” can be programmed (?) I had that function active, but then I deactivated it because during the day I don’t need it to be silenced. I will check if I can program it for the night 🤔 Well, I know I’m the typical odd user who goes for things no one else cares about 🤣

Thanks for all the responses 🙏, I remember to see the possibility to set “do not disturb” somewhere, maybe it’s different from the “Flip to mute” but It could be great!

    • Hotfix just in, download from here
Now Glyphify works with all 33 zones of Phone(2) as expected, read the previous post for the whole changelog -> Fr4nKB

Thanks to @beastobadness for testing the hotfix and being the first donor and a massive shout out to @Mirko_ddd for the huge donation go check his app Nothing News

    • Something I have seen a lot of people on this forum request for is the community concept app. I am pretty sure the software team is already hard at work on an official version. But I wanted to share my ideas and concept of the same that I have been working on for the past few days. Here is my concept for the Nothing Community app. For the first iteration (a set of four major screens) I have named them as version 1.0 - codenamed “Emma”. Further iterations will see changes/additions to these base four designs. As a result these are the foundations for this project.

The app will comprise of “Home”, “Feed”, “Notifications”, “Profile” - as main items of navigation. Care has been taken to make sure all elements of the community forum are accommodated in these four.

I am sure it will immediately jump out to all those who have used the Nothing X or the Nothing Weather app that my concept closely resembles the aesthetic of those. Especially the homepage. I have maintained the color scheme of those apps as well. The homepage contains quick links to respective tags in the forum. In my estimate these 4 tags are of the utmost importance on the forum and likely the most visited. Shout out to @Mirko_ddd - I did get inspired from his work on the homepage. He is building a very pleasing community news app. I personally wanted to make sure that the concepts of mine cover everything from forum to profile and everything else in between.

This is where we come to the newsfeed part the actual heart of the forum. Does it look familiar ? I have taken great care and noted all the little details that goes into making these type of feeds. Note how the posts that you are yet to read have a solid fill comment icon and the ones that you have already read have simply an outline. I have included all the tags in a neat horizontal row at the top.

Some people might be against the idea of dedicating an entire section of the app to notifications. I debated against it too. But the heart and soul of the community app is obviously the community that interacts with one another. So a dedicated page is not only justified but also a need. Again a lot of care has been taken to make sure everything is communicated to the user without over complexifying things.

Finally the profile page. Meant to effectively be a spot for the user to see all their posts, mentions, likes and discussions. The settings icon on top will open the profile settings. (I will elaborate on those screens in V2.0) You also have the logout button here.

That’s all from my side for Version 1.0
Tagging some relevant community members to take a look and consider my concept - @Mattia ☀️ @RohitPakalapati @Rob ⚡️

Alright I am way past my sleep time while typing this but version 2.0 will iterate on these designs and add more meta stages to them along with integral components like the profile settings page and the forum text editor which I am currently using to type this.
Alright that’s enough I am going to catch some Z’s. Let me know your feedback down below. Enjoy!

      • @Mirko_ddd Looking on the pictures and now I really want to have it! I thought, that I will try to clean dust from Tapatalk and try access Nothing community by it, but your app looks way better. I´ve looked into the Play stroe, but it looks, that approval proces is still going (or?). So, you know what I will ask for, right now :-) Do search for “beta” testers? :-) Or do you have a GitHub thread?

        • Mirko_ddd No worries man! I am actually a senior UI/UX designer by profession so I thought I would chime in this project that you are building.

You have done an exceptional job yourself. I just had some ideas that would make this app match more in line aesthetically with the existing Nothing apps (Weather, Nothing X). Along with some UX tweaks that would benefit the end user.

I am excited to try your build when it launches.

P.S. - If I could make a suggestion right away. You might wanna look into this section. @Mirko_ddd

Here you have given a well defined square box for the Submission gallery and a proper circle for the updates. But just below that the “Vote Now Stage 3” plus Image on the right side, they give an initial impression of two separate interact-able items. I would suggest give padding to the elements and creating a proper rectangle with borders just like how you did for the square box above. This will communicate more prominently to the end user that this a one proper element.

            1. I believe this doesn’t deserve a separate thread. This should have been merged into the stage 3 main thread.

            2. @Mirko_ddd you are missing out on one simple logic, this design completely misses the whole point of stage 3 design. There is no green phone 2a, i don’t even think it was in the stage 1 entries. This is entirely a new concept from scratch, while it is very good, it is of not much use. I appreciate the duo’s efforts though. Like I mentioned in my first reply, this can only make sense if there was a green phone 2a.

            3. I did notice @AndreaFanelli ’s X account and it does not have much engagement going on. The major traffic is coming from a post done by the this page called “The Nothing & CMF Fan Hub” on X, which has 4k followers and the post has 17k reach. The post has link to this thread in the caption, so most people are just clicking on it and reaching this thread. (Which is also cool that more people are getting a look at this awesome community.)

            • I saw a post here on community about an app named BLOCKIT(more about it here https://nothing.community/d/6767-blockit-one-of-the-first-apps-to-include-glyph-sdk)

When i tried the app i saw the exclamation shaped glyph on phone(1) was successfully integrated to use it as timer and worked perfectly …(thanks to @Mirko_ddd )

I was wondering why don’t the team think about it and implement it if possible because it’ll more than a treat for us phone(1) users🥹.

Btw kudos to the team for giving us glass filter option.🙏

              Thank you everyone for reading
