Sounds great. I couldn’t find any way to DM you here, so you can email me @ gowdham.ravi@gmail.com.
I’m a (beginner) flutter dev btw.
And, I did get the API key, but it doesn’t seem to be working. I’ve emailed the nothing team, but got no response (yet). Anyway my app has to go through 2 weeks of testing, so i’m on the hunt for 12 testers.
About the key, did you give them the sha1 of the apk signed by google? You need to give the signature after having it uploaded to play store
And for the testers, you can just give the invite to all your friends (even people without Nothing phones or iphones) and make them join: the counter will go up anyway and they don’t even need to install the app. Of course if you actually need testers you might want to get them with Nothing phones, in that case you should publish a post here, reddit and/or discord.
Fr4nKB buddy I want to report that nothing phone 1 is not responding to the apo well, or the app is not otimised with nothing phone 1. When the expential notification are set in phone 1 then whenever notification is received then the glyph stays there and it won’t go off until restart.
Hardik There’s one bug (that I’ve just fixed, will be out tomorrow) which makes Glyphs remain on after swiping a notification (especially from Whatsapp). That said, Phone(1) has some problems with the GDK which cause sometimes the glyphs to remain on, I cannot do anything about that as of right now. Maybe one day Nothing will either patch it or make GDK open source so the community can patch it…
To “unstuck” the glyph you can turn on and off the glyph torch (don’t know if still works on A15), restart the app or turn off and on Extential via the switch.
After using the app for a while I found some things that could maybe be added:
1: Sharing of Ringtones, but I imagine this being quite hard on the storage side, because it would mean you need to store all of them.
2: Detect music playing (probably trough the Android Music Player), and if a name matching sound is saved, it uses that light sequence.
RedSkul×HYDRA let me know, this issue is caused by Chaquopy not being optimized for Android 15 and after all my workarounds I found out that clearing cache or app data does the trick
Today, I’m thrilled to announce the release of Glyphify v2.5 which focused mainly on Glyphify Studio.
Glyphify Studio is a portable DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) which allows you to create Glyph ringtones with an array of improved features in v2.5:
Audio waveforms
Interactable keyframes via gestures
Built-in effects like volume matching, progression, and regression
Subzone addressing
Real-time preview with playback speed adjustments
Save and modify your creations
Create ringtones for devices different from the one you’re using
Here’s a short video showcasing all these features:
I also wanted to thank @Rob and the content team for the shout-out in the last Nothing video of 2024. I really appreciated it!

Aidam7 battery alarms on mute might be interesting, following system settings might not be possible but I’ll try to get more information about that
pixcel25 it depends on what you want to achieve, if you are asking about how to have an extential for a single chat on whatsapp then that’s not possible. The only way is to map the contact to a glyph zone, in that way the glyph will turn on for any notification from that contact, independently from the app
Asnka so you would like the app to only turn on a glyph for a specific contact and a specific app?
