Even though I don’t like glow in the dark stuff and I’m more than happy with my white phone 2a I really have to say this looks very cool. I might try to design a wallpaper for the phone. Not sure which style though

congratulation to both winners👾 as an architecture student it was nice to see you guys achieving this. I really liked some of the inspiration sources and the colorway that is close to Dieter Rams radio.

and thanks to Nothing for providing this whole experience! though i’m looking forward for next stages, i hope you do another hardware design challenge tbh. or at least maybe other companies learn to be more open!

Well first of all Congrats Kenta & Astrid ! Very unique design with a very useful feature (glowing in the dark).

Secondly I would like to thank Nothing team for this project, it feels like a family with people from all around the world.

Thirdly, I would like to thank all the romanians and people from all around the world who voted my design in this stage. It wasn’t easy having a day full of class hours and a full night designing this amazing phone before a full day again but it was worth it, every second, every minute, every hour, everything!

Lastly i want to confess something to the Nothing team and everyone here: The first time I’ve held the first Nothing Phone it felt like magic. Very balanced, smoothly, lightweight.

Nothing i have ever seen and felt was like that phone untill the last Christmass when I’ve visited the same shop (eMAG Crangasi Showroom from Bucharest, Romania) and saw the new Nothing Phone 2 which was incredible. The smoothness phone i have ever touched. Not even the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra or iPhone 15 Pro Max wasn’t that smoothness and fast and we are talking about flagships here.

As a student the experience using a 2017 ,,Flagship” (Samsung Galaxy S8) isn’t the best, charging every hour, lagging, even for filming videos/vlogs in 1080 P for my YouTube channel but regardless of that i am very happy to be able to test products in a shop from the legend itself Carl Pei (and from all the great people that worked hard behind the curtains) and to contribute to the Nothing dream by being in this Nothing family.

From seeing Carl live launching the first OnePlus Nord Phone then the Nothing Ear (1), Nothing Phone (1), Nothing Ear (stick), and the list goes on untill the most recently the Nothing 2(a) and the Nothing Ear, Nothing Ear (a).

I still remember the Nothing 2(a) event wondering why it looks soo good, what are they using for the live then i saw that it was live broadcasting from Nothing 2(a) itself. I hope that someday i will be able to use a phone like that as a daily driver and being a member from the Nothing Family Users.

I don’t know if my messages will be seen by Carl or by someone from Nothing Team, i don’t know if I will be one of the runners-up but I hope that someday I will be one of the luckiest people to win even a pen or anything that comes from my effort, not free but from my work.

From the Nothing Phone (1) and Nothing Phone (2) hands-on experience all I can say is that Nothing feels awesome than the Nothing Phones and someday I hope by a miracle I will win one signed by Carl himself. I would care and keep that phone for the rest of my life.

Untill then, thank you Carl, thanks for everyone who is working hardly behind the camera and for caring, even if some of us are users of the Nothing Phones, Earbuds or just simple members. And the best is yet to come. Till then, nothing’s better than Nothing !

Thanks everyone for being here and sorry if I may be spamming but It’s the first time for me being with people around the word and especially with a founder and company that really cares about people and products.

    Congratulations! An awesome take on the design and I’m intrigued to see how the rest of the CE will pair with the hardware choices!

    [unknown] just a suggestion here, but has anyone considered using the lume that Rolex uses on its watches?

    It’s a subtle greenish hue when not illuminated but changes to a blue colour when glowing.

    Might make a slightly more interesting transition between daytime > nighttime. This is a painted lume, unsure if it can be set in plastic, however.
