SamLazar Call waiting is a network provided feature, and as you have proved, it is working on another device.
In Australia, you can also use a short code to enable/disable/check the status of call waiting:
today i bought nothing phone 2a. it is very fast, the stereo audio is of excellent quality but the charge is very slow and there is no private space. it is absurd that there is no private space. i am forced to return the phone to the seller. i am sorry. experience concluded.
No option to customize the clock color on lock screen sucks.
It doesn’t even try to change to a black color on a bright background
Wtf
Yesterday, I visited an authorized Nothing service center to fix a minor issue with my Nothing Phone (2A). The service was great, and the problem was resolved. However, the experience got me thinking about a feature that is no one talking about- a Service Mode(like the one Samsung offers.) Here’s what happened: My phone had a minor hardware issue (possibly moisture or dust in the camera). I added the camera shortcut to the lock screen while keeping the phone locked. But still the technician can attend calls. Imagine it’s a software issue or you need to give the phone unlocked? It made me realize how qood is to have a service mode/ repair mode in phones. Imo it is a feature that need to be standardized in every single smartphone. It’s okay to take good ideas from others if it improves the user experience.
I’m seriously frustrated as a Phone (2) user. I understand that good things take time, but why should I sacrifice my time and user experience hoping everything will magically get better someday? Nothing has clearly struggled to build a capable in-house development team. Why can’t they thoroughly test the software before releasing something they call a “stable” update?
The OS might be 60% stable, but it’s far from being reliable for daily use. My mobile data, Wi-Fi, and app experiences are a nightmare. I’m someone who rarely restarts my phone—maybe once a week—but now, every single day begins with me rebooting my device. It’s pathetic.
My phone hangs constantly. Apps open but just sit there mocking me for minutes without loading. Even with OS 2.6, I had major network connectivity issues, but I held on, hoping OS 3.0 would fix it. Instead, things have only gotten worse.
This is simply unacceptable. I can’t keep using a phone that forces me to trade usability for promises of future updates. I’m seriously considering trading my Phone (2), and it’s heartbreaking to see how a company can play so recklessly with their users through half-baked updates.
Please, Nothing, get your act together! Focus on delivering a truly stable experience, not just promises.
@Rob had my Nothing 2A upgraded to 3.0. Bit disappointed to see some key features in Android 15 are missing in Nothing OS.
But Why..?
Save app pairs (split screen)
New volume panel with change of output device
Bluetooth “Automatic turn on Tomorrow”
Phone as USB Webcam
Circle to Search
Nothing001 this is important also to me because I always use vowifi in airplane mode to save battery, if this is not yet resolved ive rather enjoy 2.6
Always it means only 3 android version, android 15 is the last nothing phone 1 update.
3 years = 3 android versions, you will able to get only security patches after android 15 update.
Alexshax for your kind information in November they are releasing open beta not stable version . That y we are demanding. What’s the assurance they will releasing that feature in nos 3 . Mid range will get new feature before flagship what a joke by Np team and you guys defending back to back.
When Nothing released Phone 2a, the software team held back the Phone 2 update. Due to significant pressure from the community, they eventually released a security patch update. This time, when they launched CMF Phone 1, they released the Phone 2 and 2a software update (v2.6) on the same day without introducing new features. They played it smartly this time, and no one complained because Phone 2 users are scheduled to receive the next update in September .
The initial release software completely depends on the production date. I just purchased a brand new Phone (2) on Amazon Germany not even two weeks ago, the device was produced in December 2023 and I got an immediate update notification to 2.5.5 and after updating it also found the latest 2.5.6 right away.
If it’s worth or not depends on you own preferences. I just like the Phone (2) so much that I purchased it again after selling it earlier this year. Four years of security updates should be mid 2027, sure we’ll most likely be stuck with Android 16 by then, but at least for me that’s not too much of a big deal - especially since I can imagine to maybe upgrade to the Phone (3).
Of course if you are planning to keep the phone for four to six years, there are better options for long term software support out there.
I second that. It would be lovely to see all the lettering from the Polish language in this font. Especially since some of them are really few dots away from being there
Hi!
I was wondering is it a real possibility to adapt or include the nothing phone dotted font with Polish language? Withing system itself and the widgets on all nothing devices?
No, go to other brands like OnePlus or Samsung or iqoo because software support is not good and software management is worst.25k phone 2a have may 24 security patch but phone 2 have April security patch at last camera is worst no consistency if you are taking photos against Sun light that time photos looks like your taken photo 0.3 megapixel. So my suggestion go to other brands. Other wise wait for phone 3 may be camera is improved.
Where is the recording call option?????? Don’t work with a new widget
